About Dr. Luhar

With a passion for the body’s innate healing power and the integration of naturopathic medicines and therapies, Faryal offers patients comprehensive naturopathic medical care and education to optimize their health and wellbeing.  Using a holistic approach, Faryal strives to uncover the root cause of disease through clinical experience and the use of innovative laboratory assessments. Treatment plans are tailor-made to suit each individual’s specific needs and goals, while supporting the individual’s inherent capacity to self-heal.

Treatment modalities include clinical nutrition therapy, botanical medicines, Chinese medicine and acupuncture/cupping, combination homeopathic remedies, supplementation, and lifestyle counselling. Dr. Luhar has a focus on Women’s Health however she treats a wide range of conditions from pain syndromes such as migraines, to chronic diseases such as diabetes. Removing obstacles to health and restoring physiology and function facilitates healthy ageing, stronger immunity, sharper mental clarity, and enhanced emotional wellbeing. Prevention is at the heart of Naturopathic Medicine and as such Faryal also promotes gene-based healthcare by offering patients a glance at their own genetic susceptibilities towards disease and empowers them to become the author of their own health journey.

Dr. Faryal Luhar graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Canada. She pursued this field of study after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Western Ontario in London, Canada.

Often popularly known by her patients as the ” Naturopathic Nomad” Faryal has been in practice for more than 18 years and currently divides her practice time between South Africa and the Middle East (UAE and Saudi Arabia).  She is a member of the Naturopathic Associations in Canada and SA.  Her global ventures include humanitarian projects in Guatemala as well as practicing as a visiting doctor in the Dominican Republic and in Delhi, India. Originally from Kenya, East Africa Dr. Luhar enjoys polishing her conversational skills  in French, Spanish, Hindi and Kiswahili with her patients.  She has published several articles in leading wellness magazines, has been a featured guest on radio and television, and is a lifelong learner.  Faryal aims to empower and educate her patients to take charge of their health by living a happy, balanced life full of vitality and possibilities.
